Be sure to read the story from Monday about Arthur pulling the Sword from the Stone. Did the once and future King Arthur actually exist is up for debate, but what does exist is a stone in a sword that dates back over a thousand years. Legend has it that Saint Gaigano, on a vision from God, climbed a hill and drove a sword into stone. An Abbey was built on the spot and people came to visit the miracle. Legend also has it that a thief tried to steal the sword and was beset upon by huge wolves, that tore him apart and dragged him off, but left the thief's hands untouched.
