Your Bearcat Story Book

Your Bearcat Story Book

We are writing a story to entertain younger students at Athlone. The story is going to involve our school mascot the Bearcat.

With your rough planning sheet, handed out by the teacher, a similiar copy available here, make a rough plan for your story.

When done the rough planning sheet, fill in the details, again, with a sheet handed out by the teacher, another copy available here.

When you are done, there will be a rough planning sheet filled out AND a greater detail sheet filled out.

Some Story Suggestions

How the Bearcat came to be

How the Bearcat gain its superpowers and decided what to do with them

How the Bearcat saved us from a comet, godzilla, flood, . . .

How the Bearcat teamed up with  the Athlone Atom and/or Sturgeon Husky,  Mick E. Moose,  Buzz and Boomer or . . .  to save us from a comet, godzilla, flood, . . .

Feb 27 Part 2

Good Job on the story planning, especially in making the reader care, become engaged with the characters

Now for the good copy. This may be done on paper or on the computer. It will be a graphic story. Comic Life is on the computer. Graphics may be done by hand, by the computer, by camera, or some combination of all 3.

1. The graphic story must be between 5 and 8 pages
2. The graphic story must have between 30 and 40 panels
3. You must flesh out your story plan into an engaging story for grade 3 students at Athlone
4. Keep an eye on your mechanics; remember that your graphics are a big part of the book's attraction.
