-Class Covid Music Video-Hand in on Friday

On Friday the class decided to do one song for a music video. The song that was leading in the choice category was the song below, done by a Canadian dentist that has some good advice and a hopeful mood.  We gave the weekend for more choices to come in if someone found something else. No more choices were submitted, so here is our song.

Remember our lessons last week on rhythm in poetry. Lots of rhythm in this song. The song also has personification, metaphor, simile, alteration and repetition.

Let’s Kick It
Virus Baby
Corona Virus Baby

Alright Stop, Self-Isolate and Listen
Covid’s back, it’s a brand new version
The Virus, grabs a hold of you tightly
Grip like a harpoon Ye It’s frightening
Will it ever stop?
Yo! I hope so
Stock up on pasta
and bog roll

Ye it’s extreme, it’s global, international
Bleach everything, wipe the floor and door handles                                  14

Hand sanitizer market has boomed!
I’m staying in doing tik toks in my bedroom
Deadly!! Corana is the enemy
Scientist doing there best to make a remedy
Washing and cleaning yourself all day
Social distancing,  Please stay away!
Yes it’s a problem, but we’ll solve it!
Let’s stick together and we can resolve it!!

Yo  just be careful out there
                                                            Let’s love one another                                                         28

Some options for our class version
1. We lip synch/act out the song
2. We lip sync/act out half the song
3. We sing the song,
4. We come up with our own lyrics to sing

Whatever we come up with, if you hand it in to me by Friday I can edit it so all our contributions end up on one song.

Update-Class decision-Number 1 above was the resounding winner

-So act out, lip synch, the song above.
-If you still want to sing, great, I should be able to edit that in.
-Be creative, feel free to enlist the help of our stuffed animals, pets, siblings, parents, etc.
-If the whole song is too much for you (but it is only 80 seconds), then do half the song
-Handin by Friday so the teacher can combine everyones contribution.
