The red highlights are the right answers and responses. Marks in Powerschool. If the mark didn't raise your grade, then I exempted the mark.

The Roman Empire collapsed because of one huge reason
Yes, most major events happen because of 1 reason
Nooooo, often big events happen because of a variety of reasons

As talked about last month, and mentioned again yesterday, a reason Rome collapsed is
failure of the potato crop-Potatoes are from North America, Romans didn't have them!
a pandemic-nothing new about pandemics
invasion by the Mohawks-Again, from N.A., Ancient Romans never met them!
All of the above

Give another reason why Rome Collapsed Student responses below, they were all good!
They had to much slaves
military overspending
corrupt government
Invasion from barbarian tribes.
bad government
economic troubles
It was divided into 2 half's
because of when the barbarian invaded rome? idk if that is right It is right!
from Barbarian Invasions
Give yet another reason why Rome Collapsed-Again, all student responses got a mark, well done.

Economic troubles
the loss of trditional values
economic troubles
Poor rules and leadership.
rise of christianity
unstable leaderships
Military losses
because of curruption and weak leadership
the roman armies were unable to deal with mass migration of the barbarian tribes into their lands

When Rome collapsed, the Roads remained, but it was more difficult to travel on them because . . .
The one question that stopped Kassandra and Tyler from being perfect, and that everyone else also got wrong. Here are two possible responses
While the roads and paths remained, and some, as shown in class, are still around, travel on them became more difficult, if not impossible with the collapse of Rome because

-The safe stations that the Romans had maintained for food, lodging and rest were no longer being maintained. Try traveling across Canada without anywhere safe to stop for fuel or food or rest or . . .
-The roman army no longer patrolled the roads, so now roaming barbarians and thieves preyed upon travellers.

When Rome collapsed, what happened with the aqueducts that transported water
They were not maintained
They were vandalized
They were stripped for building materials.
